Question: Is it painful?
We use 2-step numbing process involving state-of-the-art anesthesia, which reduces discomfort to a mild sting, accompanied by vibration, very tolerable to most. Each step is carefully explained at the time of your procedure.

Question: How long does a procedure usually take?
Time varies just as personalities in a client may. If you are as relaxed and comfortable with the technician your procedure may take 1 to 2 hours. You may also consult your doctor and request something to relax you if you are an overly anxious. In more than 80% of cases, this is not necessary.

Question: Is it safe?
Disposable needles and all implements used make our procedures hygienic and safe. Licensed technicians are required to be Hep B vaccinated and be in good health.

Question: How long can I expect the beautifying effects of my procedure to last?
Generally you could say 1 to 5 years, depending on area and type of procedure. The duration will depend on your chemistry, health, lifestyle, ethnic background, etc. All permanent cosmetics stay in the skin forever, however, they fade over time and will require periodic touch-ups to you to keep your makeup looking fresh. We offer touch-ups at very affordable rates.

Question: Are the colors I choose alterable?
In most cases yes. This is why we are able to offer some types of corrective cosmetics, however, with a skilled technician you need not worry, you will be assisted in electing colors that are especially suited for you.

Question: What if I change my hair color?
Shape and color can be altered as mentioned above. In most cases, eyebrows and lips are the simplest to go darker or lighter. In eyeliner, it would be preferred to choose a lighter shade to begin with if you are not sure, as it is much easier to go darker or bolder at a future date.

Question: Does cosmetic surgery affect my permanent cosmetics?
It would depend largely on what type of cosmetic surgery you elect. In most cases if you've had permanent cosmetics, you would be wise to discuss this with the plastic surgeon. A highly skilled doctor should be able to work around this to your satisfaction.

Question: Is there a difference between types of machines used, such as the traditional rotary, verses a hand-held pen tool? (Rotary or Digital)?
I feel they are both excellent methods, and I do not support opinions that criticize one verses the other. It is not a question of whether one is better than another, but rather the skill of the technician utilizing the method that the technician has learned to use and be comfortable with.

Question: What can I ask a permanent cosmetic technician to ensure that I am getting the an excellent and safe treatment?

  • Ask for a certification and license, and where the technician received their training.
  • Ask the technician if they've had any continuing education.
  • Ask the technician if they belong to a permanent cosmetic support organization that offers on-going education, and information.
  • Ask the technician if they have insurance.
  • Ask the technician if they use health forms, consent forms, and follow-up care forms.
  • Ask the technician what method of sterilization they use.
  • Ask the technician if they have a portfolio.
  • Ask yourself if the prices seem too low or too high.

The lowest price could equal the outcome. Make a conscious decision based on your research and, of course, have a personal consultation.
